Amendment of our General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Dear users,

We would like to inform you that we have updated our General Terms and Conditions (GTC). The new GTC apply to the following platforms and from the date stated in the email and below.

What has changed?

  • New payment service provider: In future, payments will be processed exclusively via Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Stripe will handle both the collection of the support amounts and the technical administration of the funds via Stripe Connect.

  • KYC check by Stripe: The legally required identity and legitimacy check (KYC) of project starters is now carried out directly by Stripe as part of the project launch.

  • Payment methods: Available payment methods are provided by Stripe and may vary by project, support level, device or country.

  • Refund by Stripe in the event of failure: If the target amount is not reached, the payments will be refunded by Stripe on the instructions of fairplaid.

  • Extended verification: Stripe and fairplaid reserve the right to request additional legitimation documents even after the start of the project - e.g. in the event of suspected abuse, regulatory changes or technical verification requirements.

  •  Use of the funds: Project starters are still obliged to use the funds for the intended purpose. fairplaid reserves the right to request evidence.

You have the right to object to the updated GTC. However, such an objection will mean that further use of our platform will not be possible, as our services can only be provided on the basis of the new GTC. If you wish to object to the new T&Cs and delete your account, please send an email to agb@fairplaid.com. We will take care of your request and confirm the deletion of your account.

If you do not object to the new GTC, they will automatically be deemed accepted from the date stated in the e-mail or below.

We thank you for your trust and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
