GGEW Crowd: Local projects for a sustainable future

FAIRPLAID and GGEW AG have jointly launched the "GGEW Crowd" - a crowdfunding platform for the Bensheim region and surrounding area. The aim is to promote local projects and strengthen the community by supporting innovative ideas in the areas of the environment, education, culture and social innovation.

"We are delighted to have GGEW as a strong partner at our side," says Michael Gerken, Head of Impact at FAIRPLAID. "The 'GGEW Crowd' enables people in the region to realize their projects and strengthen the sense of community at the same time."

The platform is part of the "Municipal Crowdfunding" initiative, which was launched by FAIRPLAID, VKU Verlag and Steilpass to promote crowdfunding at municipal level. Projects from the region can now be submitted to receive support from the community.

"With the 'GGEW Crowd', we want to offer people a platform to implement their ideas and thus further advance our region," explains Patricia Schlesing from GGEW.

The "GGEW Crowd" is a step towards a more sustainable and future-proof region - and a great example of how crowdfunding can not only promote financing, but also community and innovation.
